Hi, I’m Dane Paskell, better known as Rah around the internet. I started The Brood for a few reasons

1: The previous forums I have posted at started to suck. The majority of new members that joined were just trolls, who felt that creating a forum account to spam a few threads is entertainment. I still post at the G4TV Forums, but everyday I can find something that pushes me towards the edge of leaving.

2: I wanted my own forums. Most of my friends had theirs, and I’ve been meaning to make some message boards of my own. It wasn’t one of those situations where I wanted to fall into the mainstream life. It was more of a competition to outdo the others.

3: I have control. I also created the forums as an escape from reality. On the forums, I have the utmost power. I control any and everything that goes on. With this power, I can make sure that The Brood is one of the better forums on the internet with no tolerance for trolls or spam.

A little more about me:

I’m 16, a sophomore in High School, my parents are divorced, and I live in Sioux City, Iowa. Yes, Iowa blows big time. It would probably be better if there was actually some entertainment around here. The only form of entertainment that fulfills my wants is playing games. My dad was in the Marines for 18 years, until he was court marshaled for fighting with his superior. He was kicked out. My mom is a nurse and she works in a psychiatric unit at the local hospital. I have several siblings: 1 Half-Sister (Tosha), 2 Step-Sisters (Ashley and Sara), 1 Half-Brother (Jason), and 1 Brother-in-law (Nick). I also have a nephew, who happens to be the son of Sara and Nick. His name is Kyel:

How I met the other staff:

I met most of the people who post at The Brood forums on another site. It’s called G4TV.com. It’s based off of a television network and is run by employees of G4. It was G4TechTV when I joined; because G4 and TechTV, both companies belonging to Comcast, merged after TechTV was sold. TechTV was the superior, although some tend to disagree. On the site, they have forums. I was a member of the site since Nov. 2003. I joined the forums in July 2004 and became one of the better members. The staff of The Brood, are all some of the most mature, and level-headed members I know. They were chosen specifically, by me, because I felt that if they could be mature and admit when they’re wrong (Unlike others); they would be well suited for the forums. While Redskull does the tech stuff (since I’m not as big of a nerd); I set the guidelines and monitor the forums along with Hombre and Doomer.
